Noah Sorota is based in California

Noah is a violinist and composer currently working and studying in Los Angeles, California. Some of the most prominent styles of music he pursues in addition to western classical music are jazz, the music of Ireland, the music of India, the Middle East, and those of other folk/world cultures.

In the summer of 2002, while traveling in Stuttgart, he met with Michael Bach and discovered his curved bow (BACH.Bogen). Since this time, he has been incorporating not only the bow, but also the ideas which it inspires, into the music he is composing and playing.

Over the years Noah has preformed with many different ensembles and groups ranging from classical, improvisational ensembles, and Irish groups to jazz and rock bands. At the age of 17 he performed at the Manhattan School for Strings 30th anniversary concert at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Currently Noah can be found at the California Institute for the Arts where he is studying Music Technology. He plays both 5-string and traditional 4-stringed violins.
